Some more sea side photos, love the pincushion hakea flowers. I wonder who made the footprints, a bandicoot maybe?

She sells sea shells ...by the sea shore
We have been to the beach a couple of times of late - Port Melbourne for a fish & chip dinner one night, then Torquay for Easter. Since I was about 4 years old we have spent all but one or two Easter weekends in Torquay. So you think I would have grown out of filling my pockets with shells as I walk along the beach

So what have I been up to lately...
Making cheesecakes- especially since I discovered Woolies sell Philly cheese at the deli, I can get a 500g block cut. Saves on all the excess packaging. I really only discovered cheesecake as an adult, and have only recently discovered how super easy it is to make. Remember those Philly cheese recipe books I found on a front fence a while back? Great basic cheesecake recipe! Made one yesterday for our team.leader's birthday today. I used gluten free gingernut biscuits for the base, lemon rind & juice for flavour, and decorated with frozen berries and fresh mint.

Busy bee
Spotted this bee in the garden this.morning, his legs are loaded up with pollen! I wonder how much a full tummy and loaded legs affect their ability to fly? Hopefully he has a hive to fly to, and make some yummy honey.
We spent the day at my in-laws yesterday, they have a huge garden, and also have some behives off site. They have had a bumper harvest of honey, and veges! We came home with a tub of honey, and bags full of tomatoes, carrots, capsicum, beans and eggplant. Need to look through the recipe books for ways to cook the eggplant, plus we have a heap of yellow squash from our garden too.

Good morning sunshine!
I am officially declaring this the year of the sunflower! Are there sunflowers growing near where you live, or maybe even in your garden? I have noticed so many sunflowers growing around Brunswick and Coburg this summer. Took these photos on my morning walk this morning. I have even seen them on roundabouts and nature strips too! It is impossible to look at a sunflower and not smile! Reminds me of when I lived in Mildura for a couple of years, they would grow wild on the side of the road.
